I will keep it short for my first post, not technically the first post for this blog, but the first post in a long time, and the first post in a new direction.
Having left my former life as an entrepreneur, I have found myself craving a hobby I can pursue outside of work, that isn’t work related.
I’ve given up on the idea of side hustles and earning extra money on the side. Because honestly, I’m more likely to just earn more money if I’m heads down focussed on my career (which I love btw).
The purpose of the site will now be for two things, maybe even a third…
1. Photography – I used to be a professional photographer (as a side gig) but after jumping into entrepreneurship for several years it just sort of faded way. Selling all my gear to fund Beared Brothers was a huge part of the reason.
2. Family Adventures – We love camping, hiking, and swimming holes. I will probably post a lot about our adventures. You can usually find us in National Parks, or just roadside camping in the National Forest.
3. Imparting “wisdom” – I often have the itch to write a post about something I’ve learned or recently read. There likely won’t be a ton of content like this here, but hey, you never know.
Ultimately this site will just be a playground of sorts that very few people will likely ever even see, but that is okay!
About the feature photo
The feature photo was taken at the trailhead for Alberta Peak near Southfork Colorado. The photo below was taken along the Continental Divide as we descend down from Alberta Peak.
